True Love Is….

True love is beyond words. Even after experiencing a milestone of your life, you will find that there is still a lot about true love that you have yet to discover.

We have no concrete research on this. All we have is our honest thoughts, as reflected in this series of questions that our buddy, Marzie, has tagged us.

1. What does true love mean to you?

As far as we can see, true love is not only about accepting someone for his or her good qualities. It is also about accepting his or her imperfections. No one in this world is born perfect and when you truly love someone, you should not be expecting perfection. And if you truly love him or her, you would make an effort to amend those imperfections rather than rattling over them.

2. How do you know you're really in love?

Try giving yourself a day without seeing or hearing from this person. If true love has really gotten into you, that day without his or her presence would definitely make you feel perturbed and deficient. And every single day that you get to lay eyes on him or her, you would wish that that day would never go by too soon.

Find a day when he or she lands into a major mishap. If you love him or her so much, you would beat the odds to help and comfort him or her, even if it means you would lack of sleep or end up skipping meals.

3. How many times in your life have you fallen in love?

We are still enjoying life, and at the same time, searching for the true meaning of love. We may have written a number of articles related to love and marriage, but honestly, we too are still mastering the art of love. Hence, we have not tasted the bittersweet moments of love as yet, but we hope to find that soul mate that we have been looking for.

Crushes and infatuations do not count in this instance.

4. Have you ever fallen out of true love because you were mad at the moment?

Since we have never fallen in love, it should be elementary that we have never fallen out of love due to anger, and we pray hard that it would never happen to us in a million years.

5. Do you feel love and physical attraction are the same thing?

Love ignites the physical attraction, as we used to mention in our article on emotional and physical effects. If the physical attraction does not complement with the emotional attraction, it simply means that love did not exist between the two. Therefore, these two are separate issues, but you have a choice to make them mutual.

6. If your true love became ill or disfigured would you continue to love them the same way?

Yes, because remember, true love is also about accepting his or her imperfections.

7. Should anyone else be able to tell you who to love or not love?

It would be fine to open up to others’ opinions, but eventually, it is you who should have that final say because you know your feelings best. Read more about it in our article here.

8. Do you believe people that ended up divorced were ever truly in love?

They were probably not meant to fall in love, but they could have been destined to meet in order to learn some values of life from each other, and they should very well take their short lived marriage as an experience that they could learn a lot from.

9. Would you give up something you want for someone you love?

Yes, because to love is to sacrifice. Some things that you have given up on now could be taken back later, but true love happens once, and there can never be another.

10. If you truly love someone do you feel it should be unconditional?

That goes without saying.
