Ever been in a tough spot when it comes to love? Ever felt that you are in love but at the same time being held back by something?

Everyone has the right to fall in love and be loved in return. But believe it or not, some people do actually feel that they do not deserve the privilege.

So what exactly is holding them back from tasting the sweetness of love?

Let us look at some of the reasons that could hinder someone from experiencing love like everybody else.

1. It could probably be due to a dark secret or past that becomes a permanent scar and makes one feel that he or she is not worthy of love at all.

2. Fear of being discriminated or misperceived by others could also be one possible reason, especially when family members, relatives and friends are concerned.

3. It could also be due to lack of self-belief, self-esteem and self-confidence, in which one lets his or her shortcomings overtake the strengths.

4. One could have had a fair share of bad experiences in love, such as break-ups, betrayals, third party involvement and so on. This is a pretty common reason for someone to take a step back from falling in love.

5. Some people do make an effort to find love, but when they fail to capture the heart of that special someone because he or she has found love in somebody else, that is when the negativity sets in, which will in turn make one lose the drive to go on pursuing love.

These are just some of the things that people look at as excuses for not wanting to be involved in love life at all. It is fine to take your time in doing so, but you should not degrade yourself to the extent of thinking that you are not worthy of love. We are all worthy of love regardless of anything that encompasses our lives.

What matters the most is that when you find yourself falling in love, stay true to it and show how much you want to hold on to it for the rest of your life.
