Ever asked yourself what is a ‘need’ and what is a ‘want’? Ever had any idea that these two words are actually different in meaning? Many a times people believe that they both share the same meaning, but that is not the case.

A ‘want’ is something that your heart tells you to go for, but it is apparently not essential to your life. A fine example would be all those branded products and accessories that all of you can think of.

Yes, they give you a sense of style and confidence, but they are not the things that can help you survive in this world or bring death upon you if you do not have them.

A ‘need’, on the other hand, is also something that your heart tells you to go for, and as a matter of fact, it helps you get through life the way it should. Food, clothes, house, transport and your loved ones are the ones that you actually need in your life. Without them, your life could very well turn upside down.



Distinguishing between a ‘need’ and a ‘want’ is something that you may not want to take for granted, particularly when you are in a relationship with someone, and are on the way to that next phase of your relationship, which is marriage.

What you should always bear in mind is that the need is of higher priority as compared to the want, and both of you should never get easily carried away with all the wants in your lives and eventually face troubles in settling the needs.

Take this scenario for instance. You and your partner are planning to get married, and both or one of you would like to have a lavish and grand wedding just because you feel that weddings only happen once in your lives. But it is so obvious that a grand wedding is equal to a grand sum of money to pay for.

Don’t you think that you both would be better off if you plan a simpler wedding and then have some money saved up for your future expenditures and your children once you have begun your lives together?

This is one issue that couples do tend to cast aside when planning for their marriage life. They would get so carried away by their dream wedding, which is what they want, that they forgot how to prioritize the future of the marriage, which is what they need.

It is actually the needs of the marriage that are more important than the wants. Yes, the wedding may be the most memorable one, but would you prefer to create an unforgettable wedding, or an unforgettable marriage?

So to those who are on their way to tying the knots, always remind yourselves to place importance on what you feel you need in the future more than what you think you want for your wedding. It does not take an exorbitant wedding reception to tell everyone that you are happily married.

You can hold a simple wedding and still live a happy life together, and better still, be free from debts. Think of how marriage can be a breeze if you do not care too much about how grand your wedding is.

Most of all think of what your children can enjoy knowing that you both have kept that money for spending on them instead of splurging on a one-day event.

Remember, in marriage, always get what you need, not what you want.

Tetsuya Nomura: The Face Behind The Amazing Works Of ‘Final Fantasy’

If you are a huge fan of the Final Fantasy saga, then we are pretty sure that you would be eager to know more about the man behind it. This man goes by the name of Tetsuya Nomura, and is currently the character developer and video game director for Final Fantasy and many other fantastic video games. Nomura was born on October 8, 1970 in Kochi Prefecture, located on the Shikoku island. During his younger days, Nomura took up a job as an art creator for advertisements in an occupational school. Soon in the 1990s, Square Enix discovered his talent in art creation and employed him to design monstrous characters for ‘Final Fantasy V’.

Later on, he was promoted to become a graphic animation director and junior character developer for the following Final Fantasy series. The peak of his success began in 1995 when Square Enix offered him a place as the character developer for Final Fantasy VII, and the series turned out to be a tremendous achievement and became a gaming phenomenon for PlayStation.

In 1997, Nomura made a comeback by developing characters for Final Fantasy VIII, which attained yet another huge success in the video game industry. From there, he was requested to be involved in other major tasks such as creation of characters for Ehrgeiz and Parasite Eve that were to be included in PlayStation.

When PlayStation 2 was introduced, he helped design characters for the first ever PlayStation 2 game, The Bouncer, and then went back to creating characters for some other Final Fantasy series, up to Final Fantasy XI.

After many years of being pro-active in character designing for highly successful video games, he directed the animated movie Final Fantasy VII Advent Children that entered the screens of Japan in September 2005 and the screens of North America in April 2006.

That was officially his first film ever to be created. He even took up the role of a songwriter where he wrote lyrics to almost all the songs for the soundtrack. The film achieved huge success and was well received by the public.

In 2002, he was awarded the ‘Excellence In Visual Arts’ award and the ‘Game Developers Choice Award’, and in 2006, he was recognized as the ‘Best Creator’.

For the moment, he is actively involved in character designing and directing for more of the Final Fantasy series that are to be included in the all-new PlayStation Portable, also known as PSP.

He is also taking up the same roles for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts series, and will be going back to working on Nintendo games like Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Being a character developer cum director of the most acclaimed animated series of video games, particularly Final Fantasy, Nomura has been a great influence to many in the world of character animation.

He has grabbed the attention of video game lovers and fans of 3D animated series with his skills, creativity and talent. One would be mesmerized by his amazing contributions to the video game and animation industry. We are very proud of him and wish him continuous success.

How To Let Go Of A Destroyed Relationship

Our blog is about bringing peace and love, and we always believe in the joy that love can bring into relationships. But as we all know, life is never a smooth ride and nobody is ever perfect. Without question, there would be bumpy roads awaiting you when you are in love with someone, and among these bumpy roads, the most challenging one would be when you are left with no choice but to let go of him or her.

Breaking up is hard to do. But when you love someone, you would want nothing else but to see him or her happy, and if he or she is happy being released, you would have to do it no matter how heavy your heart is.

It is actually not because he or she detests you, but it is most probably because both of you are going in different frequencies, and he or she just feels better off when you set him or her free.

When you are stuck in this situation, you know you have to get out of it someday. It is a painful process, but it would be pointless to dwell over it knowing that it is never going to work. Perhaps some of you here are enduring this predicament right now and are finding ways to mend your broken hearts. It is always possible to talk it out to friends or family members, but eventually, it is up to you to get yourself moving on from being haunted by the past. So how would you let go and move on from your destroyed love? Let us see what can be done to solve this problem:

Analyze whether your expectations of a life partner are too low. You are a human who deserves to be loved by someone who would stick with you till the end. Why tread into dangerous waters? Why lead a miserable life with someone who has betrayed you and left you alone? You should be leading a happy life, with a trustworthy and loyal person. So set higher expectations. You are entitled to do it.

Do not let your mind keep wondering about your former partner. When you do that, you are backing off from achieving your goals and dreams and depriving yourself of a better future. Concentrate on the rest of your aspects of life that you still can look forward to and go for.

Do not perceive everyone the same just because of your past relationship that did not work. Not all men and women are such hurtful people. Take your time to find it in your heart to believe once again. The beauty of love is that there is someone for everyone. All you need to do is have faith that there is a good person out there who will shower you with all the love you need.

Take that bitter experience as something that you can learn from rather than something you would sulk about. That is what an experience in life is for, even in relationships. If you can do that, things could turn out better than you thought, especially when you have finally found the right person.

Things in this world are never perfect. There is always a point in time where someone breaks your heart. But do not let that heartbreak bring you down to the ground. Be a hero, and pick yourself up. If you have to let go of your loved one, let him or her go and instill a strong belief in your heart that someday you will get the happiness you want. Family
They are our flesh and blood and they are the ones who have stuck with us through thick and thin. They are the people whom we should all the more treasure in our lives. At times conflicts would arise between our families and us, but at the end of the day, we know that our lives would never be the same again without them by our sides.

Food
People say money makes the world go round, but what makes our world go round is food. Food is a huge necessity for all of us anyway and we all need it in our daily lives. But of course, we always tell ourselves that we eat to live, not live to eat. So we try not to stuff ourselves too much with it as well. Still, we can never let go of food. There is never a day that we would forget about food glorious food.

Blogging
This blog has become a major part of our lives and we would feel that something is amiss if we do not get to attend to our blog. It is through our blog that we could showcase our writing skills and knowledge, and most importantly, it is through our blog that we made a lot of amazing friends. Letting go of blogging would mean letting go of our wonderful friends here. We would not be this happy bunch of people if not for the love and support from all of you. We need blogging and we need you all.

It is that time of the month again and it is the time when things can just get all over the place. With the psychological self that is! This is what is called PMS, also known as premenstrual syndrome. According to doctors, PMS would last for 7 to 10 days before the menstruation occurs, and would take place for a minimum of three months consecutively.

Be considerate and do not add on to her stress. She may totally lose grip of herself if you worsen her situation. In fact, you should find ways to make her feel more relaxed. Bring her for a walk or make her have a good laugh.

Never lure her on purpose. Do not arouse her temptations by giving her chocolates or demanding her to do something she does not want to. Offering her a salad would be a better idea, as it is healthy.

Tips On How To Write A Good Formal Letter

Even with the existence of emails that allow you to communicate with someone whether near or far, letter writing is still the chosen method of communication for some. Some would write a letter to an organization to apply for a job, whereas others would write it to express their gratitude towards its services.

In writing a letter, it is important that the intended message is being put across effectively. So let us share with you some good tips on making a good start to your letter and ending it with a good note.

1. Substantiate your purpose of writing the letter.
Ask yourself who you are writing this to, the message that you wish to put across to the reader, what you hope to gain from writing it, and the information that you would have to include like how you got to know about the organization, appointment dates and so on.

2. Content for the first paragraph.
In the first paragraph, you should state very clearly a brief introduction to the matter that you wish to bring up. Before writing the first paragraph, remember to mention ‘Dear X’. If you do not know the name of the person, you can write it as ‘Dear Sir/Madam’. If you know the name, write it as ‘Dear Mr/Mrs/Mdm/Miss’ and then the name.

3. Content for the body of the letter.
The body should comprise more than one paragraph and it should provide details of the matter that has been introduced in the first paragraph. If you were to use multiple paragraphs in the body, you should sub-categorize the matter into different parts, in order for the reader to have a good grasp of the information in the letter.

4. Content for the last paragraph.
You should end the letter by stating how you feel about the matter and what you hope the reader can do to look into the matter. Even though you have filed a complaint over an issue, you would still need to end it with a positive note, and such that the reader can be made clear about the message.

5. Write the letter in an acceptable manner.
As mentioned earlier, the message has to be put across effectively when writing a letter. Hence, you should take note of the following points:
- Refrain from using Jargons that may not be understood by the reader.
- Write in concise sentences.
- Refrain from making use of Passive Voice in your sentences. You should rather write ‘There was an error in the previous letter I have sent you’ instead of. ‘An error has been made in the previous letter that was sent to you’.
- Do not get emotional when writing it. Be more professional.
- Do not portray yourself through the letter as someone who thinks he or she is brilliant.
- Be straightforward but do not go overboard.

6. Standardize your letter layout.
The layout of a letter must always stay constant. If you have included comma when you start the letter with ‘Dear X’, it is also best that you include the comma when ending the letter with Yours Faithfully or Yours Sincerely.

7. Know when to use ‘Yours faithfully’ and ‘Yours sincerely’.
‘Your faithfully’ and ‘Yours sincerely’ are used in different situations. So how would you know when to use what? If you were to know the name of the person you are writing to, you should then use ‘Yours sincerely’. But if you do not know the name of the person, you should then use ‘Yours faithfully’.

Hope these tips have guided you on writing a good letter and will get you all set to convey the message well to an important associate or an organization. Who knows? That letter of yours could even leave an impression of you made by the reader.

Technology and blogging are somewhat like the subject of love. They are issues that we have so much to talk about, and at times, we do not even know where to begin, just like love.

After all, they are very closely linked to love, because healthy blogging and socializing through technology do promote love, peace and joy among the community. This is all about creating a beautiful friendship that is beyond compare.

We would like to see our blogging world flourish and blossom every single time. All of us in our right minds should never include ‘racism’, ‘prejudice’, and ‘discrimination’ in our dictionaries when we enter the blogosphere. In the blogging world, we are one. This inimitable world is created for all of us from all walks of life to come together, express opinions on life’s affairs, and at the end of everything, learn from one another.

She also likes to give friendly comments to the articles that we would post, and that creates so much liveliness to the blog.

And then there is Jamilla from Brunei. She has a sweet personality, as sweet as her Jamy Latte.

She would always come up with wonderful surprises for her friends and us.

There was even a time when she wrote a post especially for her friend, Nonnie, where she urged everyone to vote for Nonnie as the best Bruneian Blogger.

And yes, how can we forget our lovely friend, Jesse? She is a South African with a beautiful heart and beautiful looks to boot. She has given us so much support in whatever we have done. When it comes to any of our community projects, she would never fail to lend her helping hand and spread the word. This blogging world would mean nothing without such a kind-hearted and beautiful person like her.

Speeding Up Your Start Button
How do you let the Start Button function quickly once you click on it? Here is how it goes:

1. Click on ‘Run’, and type the word ‘regedit’. Once done, click ‘OK’.

2. It will lead you to ‘Registry Editor’. Once you have seen the page, select and click on ‘HKEY_CURRENT_USER’, and then click on ‘Control Panel’.

3. From there, select and click once on ‘Desktop’. This will let you see a long list of files.

4. Within that list, you will come across a file named ‘MenuShowDelay’. Double click on it and under ‘Value Data’, change the number 400 to 0.

5. Once the number has been changed, click ‘OK’, close the Registry Editor and restart your PC.

When you re-log in to your computer, you will find that your Start menu will work in an increasing speed.


Creating An Invisible Folder
Don’t want your folder to be seen by others? Feel the need to keep the folder a secret? Then here is how you can ensure that nobody knows about your folder except yourself:

1. Right click on your computer background. Select ‘New’ and then click on ‘Folder’.

2. For desktops : Click rename the folder and hold + alt 0160’.

3. For laptops : Click rename the folder and hold fn and press numlock then u need to hold alt + then press m,j,o,m.

4. You will see that the name is not reflected below the folder icon.

5. So far, only the name is invisible, but not the folder itself, so what you need to do is right click on the folder and click ‘Properties’.

6. Under ‘Properties’, click on ‘Customize’. Once done, click on ‘Change Icon’.

7. Under’ Change Icon’ you will see a blank space between a few visible icons. Select the blank space and click ‘OK’.

From there, you need not worry about whether others will see the folder, because it has already turned invisible.


Creating Your Web Background
Ever wished that you had a web page background as your desktop wallpaper? It can come true for you, with these simple instructions:

1. Go to notepad and type the URL of the website that contains your favourite web page. It should look like this:

2. Once done, save the work as an ‘html’ file. This is very important!

3. After saving, you will see a shortcut icon of your file that could look like a FireFox icon.

4. Right click on your computer background, and then select and click on ‘Properties’. Once you have entered the Properties page, click on Desktop and search for the saved file.

5. After selecting your file, click on ‘Apply’ and then ‘OK’.

Your desktop background will transform into a web background. With that, you can always view your favourite web page every time you log in to your computer.
